Our academic program – an integral part of our calendar is our tutorial product, available to all our athletes.
The curriculum each student follows is planned well in advance through contact between our
teaching staff and the athletes UK or oversees school
Athletes joining us for a 3-day break, week long camps and race championships or for part of or the whole season have the opportunity to both maintain and often enhance the curriculum they are studying at home.
Academic staff are mainstream teachers. We operate a flexible timetable – usually but not always in the afternoons and early evenings and at weekends providing study at key stage 2 to 4, GCSE’s, standard and higher grades.
The curriculum each student follows is planned well in advance through contact between our teaching staff and the athletes UK or oversees school. This contact continues, where applicable through the winter, normally by email.
Teaching staff write reports for all students on a half-term basis. Summary reports are always written for athletes joining us for shorter periods.
We do not provide text or exercise books
The Pastoral Program
At Elite we pride ourselves on the relaxed but disciplined environment we create to enhance the well-being and development of our athletes. Everyone on our program is expected to work hard on the mountain, during land training and in the classroom. We ensure they eat well, sleep well and enjoy themselves!
